Begin the day with a morning departure from Guwahati in a private SUV, traveling eastward through Nagaon and gradually ascending toward the Dima Hasao plateau. Along the way, scenic forest patches and rolling hills reveal the region’s tranquil landscapes.

Arrive by early afternoon and check in at a lodge with views of the Umrangso reservoir or surrounding hills. After some rest and refreshments, enjoy a leisurely lakeside walk, observing waterbirds and capturing the evening light, perfect for photography.

Begin the day with an early morning guided birding session around the woodland edges and water zones near Umrangso. During the winter months, the area attracts a variety of raptors and migratory birds, making it ideal for wildlife observation and photography.

Return for breakfast before setting out mid-morning to Panimur Waterfalls, a broad cascade formed by the Kopili River. Spend time exploring the viewpoints, photographing the falls, and taking in the surrounding rock formations.

Return to Umrangso by the afternoon. Spend the evening at leisure, with the option for sunset photography along the reservoir.

After breakfast, enjoy optional water-based activities on the Umrangso reservoir, such as kayaking or supervised boating, depending on operational conditions and safety guidelines.

In the late morning, check out and begin the drive back to Guwahati, arriving by evening for airport or hotel drop-off, concluding the retreat.
